About The Position

The Customer Service Specialist is responsible for providing excellent service to customers and ensuring that all options to resolve customer concerns and/or requests are exhausted. 

 

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Answer inbound calls from customers through an automated dialer system and communicate account information in a professional and efficient manner.
  • Accept and schedule payments for customers in accordance with department guidelines. 
  • Participate in welcome call dialer campaigns and assist customers with any questions they may have about their new relationship with Veros Credit. Also participate in outbound call dialer campaigns.
  • Routinely communicate with internal departments to resolve customer concerns and route customers to the appropriate department as needed.
  • Evaluate the customer’s concern and/or request to determine the best solution and educate the customer on any required course(s) of action.
  • Update account information in accordance with established procedures and security guidelines and perform accurate account documentation.
  • Provide general administrative and clerical support including mailing, scanning, faxing, and copying.
  • Open, sort, and distribute incoming correspondence.
  • Prepare and submit payment deferment and due date change correspondence.
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) required.
  • 1+ year(s) of experience in the customer service and/or collections field, preferably in the subprime auto finance industry.
  • Effective communication, negotiation, and problem solving skills.
  • Effective organizational skills with an emphasis on attention to detail.
  • Ability to read, interpret and apply federal, state and local collections regulations.
  • Ability to interact with others in a professional, tactful and sensitive manner.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment and to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Available to work a flexible work schedule and overtime as needed.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
