About The Position

The Financial Analyst will be responsible for performing any combination of routine analysis, calculations, and postings to obtain primary financial data for use in maintaining accurate accounting records.


Essential Duties:

  • Develop and maintain timely and accurate financial statements and reports that are appropriate for the users and in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
  • Develop, implement, and ensure compliance with internal financial and accounting policies and procedures.
  • Assist in gathering all supporting information for the annual audit and liaise with the Manager and the external auditors as necessary.
  • Prepare monthly servicing certificates for financial transactions as required.
  • Document and maintain complete and accurate supporting information for all financial transactions.
  • Review all financial statement account reconciliations and ensure proper supporting documentation exists and any issues are resolved in a timely manner.
  • Review monthly results and implement monthly variance reporting.
  • Take an active role in the creation of the annual budget and forecasting process.
  • Assist in the examination of budget estimates for completeness, accuracy, and reasonableness.
  • Assist in the creation of data required to complete banking transactions (e.g. new facilities / securitizations) and ongoing monitoring of covenants and performances
  • Investigate questionable data and recommend actions to resolve discrepancies.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Essential Requirements:

  • 4+ years of experience in the finance/accounting field, preferably in the consumer finance industry.
  • Familiarity of the securitization process and the creation of financial models applicable to securitization transactions.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices, banking, and the analysis and reporting of financial data.
  • Ability to review and understand complex financial documentation as well as create and analyze cash flow models and review and understand financial statements.
  • Ability to interact with others in a professional, tactful, and sensitive manner.
  • Strong critical thinking, problem solving, and organizational skills.
  • Detail oriented and organized with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, both independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficient with the Microsoft suite of applications (Word, Advanced Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Visio, etc.).
  • Fluency with SQL is required.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance/Accounting, Business Administration, or equivalent work experience.
