Position Summary
The Database Administrator will be responsible for ensuring that data is available, protected from loss and corruption, and easily accessible as needed across our SQL Server 2022 environment. This role is critical in supporting our financial operations and systems.
Responsibilities
- Manage SQL Server 2022 databases across our on-premise environment. Monitor system health and performance in the servers.
- Configure and maintain security, data integrity, backup, recovery, failover, replication, and Always-On availability groups.
- Support critical day-end financial processes, including payment processing, account maintenance, and fee assessments. Troubleshoot and resolve any issues with SQL Agent jobs when errors occur.
- Maintain SQL Agent jobs, SSIS packages, and SSRS projects that handle data processing, third-party file transfers, and reporting.
- Manage SSRS Report Server and consolidate/standardize operational reporting and distribution.
- Support our cloud migration initiative by helping design and implement our future database infrastructure in Azure.
- Report to our Lead Database Administrator and Developer to ensure optimal database performance across our systems.
- Work with our technology team to support integration between our database systems and key business applications.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of DBA experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2022 or 2019
- Strong experience with database backup/recovery, authentication, security, SQL Server replications, SQL Server Agent and Always-On availability groups including distributed groups
- Proven ability to write efficient SQL queries and optimize database performance
- Experience with SSIS, SSRS, Replication Monitor and Availability Dashboard
- Detail-oriented and organized with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Computer Engineering or equivalent work experience
- Availability to occasionally support off-hours processes when issues arise
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Jira, Confluence and GIT applications (e.g., Bitbucket)
- Knowledge of Azure database solutions, migration strategies, and TDE (Transparent Data Encryption)
- Experience with scripting languages such as C#, Python, or PowerShell
- Financial services industry experience

Pay: $68,000 - $95,000 annually + Bonus
