About The Position

The Regional Vice President, Sales and Marketing will oversee a team of Regional Sales Managers and/or Area Sales Managers and will be responsible for ensuring that the team meets their goals by providing operational support, coaching, training, and overall direction/leadership.  The Regional Vice President, Sales and Marketing will also be responsible for selling the Company's products and services to independent and franchise car dealerships.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor performance to ensure that the sales team meets or exceeds established sales quotas while maintaining accepted delinquency/loss levels on the portfolio.
  • Provide strategies and alternative solutions to the Sales and Marketing team to increase sales and overall performance.
  • Analyze departmental operations, policies, procedures, controls, reporting systems, and staff to determine areas of potential cost reduction, program improvement, and/or policy change.
  • Evaluate existing and proposed departmental policies, procedures, forms, and processes to ensure compliance with all federal, state and local laws and regulations.
  • Establish, develop and maintain positive business relationships with independent and franchise car dealerships.
  • Develop marketing strategies to compete with other companies that sell similar products and services.
  • Attend meetings, sales events, and training seminars to keep abreast of the latest industry developments.
  • Promote strong channels of communication and maintain effective relationships between the Sales and Marketing department and all other departments, both operational and supporting.
  • Participate in the recruitment, training, retention, and organization of all department staff within a designated territory in accordance with the company hiring process, personnel policies, and budget requirements.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of progressive outside sales experience in the sub-prime auto finance industry with 2+ years in a leadership role.
  • Strong familiarity with different sales techniques and pipeline management.
  • Ability and motivation to travel to multiple sales locations and plan/strategize sales for specific geographic regions.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and problem solving skills with the ability to persuade and influence others.
  • Ability to interact with others in a professional, tactful and sensitive manner.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment and to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft office (excel, word, outlook), DealerTrack, Routeone, and defi.
