The Business Analyst will perform business and systems analysis of current business practices, processes, and workflows across assigned departments and business areas. The primary responsibility of this role is the day-to-day administration, configuration, and maintenance of the Loan Origination System (LOS), including writing and maintaining business rules and logic using the platform's JavaScript-based scripting engine. This role is based in Santa Ana, CA and requires working on-site.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Be the subject matter expert on the Loan Origination System (LOS) and its configuration.
- Write, test, and maintain business rules, stipulations, decision logic, and workflow formulas using the LOS platform's JavaScript-based scripting engine.
- Manage LOS user accounts, roles, and permission assignments; process access control changes as requested.
- Test all system configuration changes in the QA environment prior to production deployment; obtain requester sign-off before pushing changes to production.
- Act as the primary liaison between internal stakeholders and LOS vendor support; log, track, and escalate bugs and feature requests on behalf of the organization.
- Track and manage system issues and enhancement requests using issue tracking tools such as Jira; monitor ticket status and communicate updates to affected teams.
- Manage field mapping and data integration touchpoints between the LOS and connected third-party systems.
- Act as a strategic partner and liaison between the user community and the technical applications development staff.
- Coordinate cross-functional communication during system maintenance windows, outages, and releases; keep impacted teams informed and verify systems after restoration.
- Conduct periodic audits of system outputs and third-party vendor data to identify discrepancies, exceptions, and opportunities for improvement.
- Document business processes, standard operating procedures, and project status.
- Manage own workload and meet deadlines while responding to frequent, competing requests across multiple departments.
- Recommend changes to management in support of organizational goals and objectives.

Essential Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience required.
- 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or Systems Analyst within the auto finance and/or finance industry is required.
- Extensive experience with loan originations is required; prior experience administering a Loan Origination System is a plus.
- Strong working knowledge of SQL is required, including the ability to write queries, extract and analyze data, and support reporting and troubleshooting efforts; candidates should have hands-on experience with data manipulation and querying.
- Experience with JavaScript is preferred (not required) exposure to scripting or coding logic (such as business rules, workflows, or automation) is highly desirable, particularly within system configuration environments.
- Experience with issue tracking and project management tools such as Jira or similar platforms.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and abilities.
- Ability to take ownership of requests, set clear expectations, and drive issues to resolution, including escalating to vendors when necessary.
- Ability to interface with multiple users across the organization and effectively manage competing priorities and deadlines.
- Ability to work in a rapidly changing and growth-oriented environment with regularly shifting priorities.
- Familiarity with cloud-based data tools (e.g., BigQuery) a plus.
- Experience with SaaS application administration, including user management and role-based access control, a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; comfortable communicating with both technical teams and business leadership.
Salary: $72,000.00 - $87,000.00 annually + Bonus
